About me, Simon Kornberg
With over 20 years of experience in advertising, communications and professional training across the UK, Australia, and Asia, I love empowering people to work smarter and more effectively.
Before founding Maximillian James in London, I ran a communications and sales training company in Singapore. As a trainer and facilitator, I've helped individuals from diverse industries adopt more productive habits, including advertising, PR, hospitality, telecoms, sportswear, and more. My work has taken me to 19 countries, from the UK to the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and China, with globally recognized clients like Saatchi & Saatchi, Adidas, WPP, and Western Union. I also taught as an Associate Professor in the MBA program at Singapore Management University.
I began my career as a copywriter at leading London agencies CDP and Saatchi & Saatchi. A visit to Asia in 1987 sparked my interest in the tremendous growth occurring in the region. For over a decade, I worked in Hong Kong, Singapore, Sydney and Bangkok before transitioning to training and coaching.
I'm passionate about that moment when people 'get it' — when they realise there's an easier, faster, more productive way to work — whether it's presenting, planning, managing, or selling. My goal is to help individuals and teams unlock their potential.
